Building a global platform for educational innovation

Background

Artificial intelligence and immersive media technologies are rapidly advancing, leading to various innovations in the field of education worldwide. Global academic experts gathered to share best practices for innovation and discuss new trends to inspire further research and development efforts that will shape the future of education.

Vision

With this event, the goal was to evolve into a global educational innovation platform where leading researchers in educational innovation can network and collaborate. This initiative laid the foundation for ongoing international cooperation in STEM education.

MOU Signing Ceremony

A significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Jeju National University and Michigan State University's CREATE for STEM Institute, establishing a framework for the establishment of a joint research institute and ongoing collaboration in STEM education research and innovation.

JNU Hosts International EdTech Innovation Week

Jeju National University successfully hosted the International EdTech Innovation Week from December 11-12, 2023. The event featured special lectures, a symposium, and an MOU signing ceremony focused on innovative approaches to educational technology and STEM education.

The symposium, themed "Transforming Global Education: AI and Emerging Technologies in K-16 Teaching and Learning," brought together distinguished scholars from Korea, the United States, Singapore, and Taiwan to discuss the future of AI in education, pedagogical strategies for technology integration, and collaborative research opportunities.

A key outcome was the MOU signing between Jeju National University and Michigan State University's CREATE for STEM Institute, establishing a framework for ongoing collaboration and marking the beginning of a new era in international STEM education partnership.
